Njigua Books is a registered, locally owned, modest-sized book-supplying enterprise that targets academic libraries, research libraries, theological colleges, international schools, NGOs and the general market in Kenya . Registered on 22nd February 2000 , Njigua Books has played an active role in book distribution ever since. It has four staff members who closely liaise with the local market as well as their suppliers, both locally and abroad. In Europe , their principal group is Cambridge University Press whom they represent in Kenya.
Situated 17km away from Nairobi town, Njigua Books believe in taking service to the people. They do so by promoting the Cambridge list and others to all parts of the country by direct visits, displays, mailing, etc. They also stock and distribute 24 of the 'approved readers' from Cambridge in the so-called Orange Book, a list of approved books recommended by the Ministry of Education for use in primary schools in Kenya.
