Welcome to English in Mind, our new course for teenagers.

As a teacher you may feel that the saying 'If you can teach teenagers, you can teach anyone’ is true. Adolescents experience significant changes in their lives as they move from being a child to becoming an adult. This transitional period can cause tension, and so disrupt the learning process, as they struggle to find their own identities.

However, simply recognising these problems does not automatically lead to more successful teaching. We need to meet these challenges head on by:

  • selecting content and organising the students’ learning according to their psychological needs
  • creating a positive learning atmosphere
  • catering for differences in students’ learning styles and developing their study skills

English in Mind has been written taking into account all of these issues. They have significantly influenced the choice of texts, the structure of the units, the type of exercises, the artwork and design, and the means by which students’ study skills are facilitated and extended.

We very much hope that a look at English in Mind will convince you that it’s the right course for you and also for your students!
