The accompanying Video contains short documentary sequences filmed in the USA and Europe designed to tie in with the themes of the modules and provide authentic input to the course. Notes on how to use the Video and photocopiable tasks are included in the Teacher's Book.

Content:
8 brand new documentary sequences filmed in the Republic of Ireland, UK and USA at two well-known, international companies: Marin Bikes and Waterford Crystal.

Teacher Support:

The sequences open a window to the real world of business:

Welcome to Marin and Waterford - an extra sequence to be used as an introduction to the Video's two subject companies.

In this programme you'll find out about the two companies, their products, histories, organization and markets.

Please note that this video sequence is supplied free as a sampler on the CD-ROM sold with the Teacher's Book.

Person to person - to be used with Module 1 of the Student's Book.

In this programme we see how relationships develop between people who have and have not met before on visits to the companies.

Phone calls - to be used with Module 2 of the Student's Book.

Here the focus is on getting things done and sorting out problems with colleagues, clients and suppliers.

Writing - to be used with Module 3 of the Student's Book.

Sit in on a meeting between a Marin sales person and a retailer.
