Newton

Also on the ground floor, the Newton Room has a more intimate feel but with all the technical specifications of the Darwin Room. The two rooms are connected by the rear reception area which can be used for refreshments or display space.

Isaac Newton was born in Lincolnshire in 1643. He began studying at Trinity College Cambridge intending to become a lawyer but soon developed an interest in mathematics. His work on optics and gravitation make him one of the greatest scientists the world has known. In 1703, Newton became President of the Royal Society and was knighted in 1705 by Queen Anne, the first scientist to be honored for his work.

Sir Isaac Newton died in 1727 and is buried in Westminster Abbey.
